Lipodissolve is a non-surgical injection procedure that reduces fat deposits and cellulite.  It is also known as Mesotherapy.  

Lipodissolve is comprised of a combination of phosphatidylcholine (PPC) and deoxycholate (DC), which are naturally occurring components in the body, injected into those stubborn pockets of fat. The injections change the fat from a solid to a liquid, which is then expelled from the body naturally via the body's waste and lymphatic system. ​

• The number of fat cells you have in your body is determined during childhood and adolescence. 
• Once the number of fat cells is set, it will remain constant regardless of weight gain or loss.
• Liposuction and Lipodissolve destroy the targeted fat cells, and they are permanently removed from the body.
• As you gain weight, remaining fat cells enlarge.
• Fat cells can grow up to 10 times in size to store extra fat. 
• As you lose weight, remaining fat cells shrink but they don't disappear.
• A normal person can have between 25 and 35 billion fat cells in their body. 
• Because the number of fat cells a person has is determined in childhood and adolescence, children and young adults should maintain healthy lifestyles, including a healthy diet, appropriate caloric intake, and exercise, preventing excessive weight gain, to limit the number of fat cells developed.

Before treatment: 

• Full assessment will be completed and Middle Level provide visit (GFE) Good Faith Exam. 
• Prior to treatment a 24 hour patch test will be conducted using a small amount of PCDC to 3 areas. 
• Avoid blood thinners and alcohol for 2-3 days
• Taking oral arnica can help reduce bruising

After treatment: 

• After getting injections, it is common to experience redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness, tightness, are may feel hard and itching on the treatment site. You don’t need to worry about any of it as all these effects will go away over the next week. 
• Some patients also report slight numbness on the treatment site post getting injections. This can persist for weeks after the treatment and usually resolves on its own within its due time. 
• The treatment site will be tender to touch for many weeks post getting injections. Over the counter pain relievers can be used. 
• In some very rare instances, an allergic reaction can occur which causes small lumps. If that happens, immediately get in touch with your service provider. 
• Ice application is very helpful in minimizing initial swelling. Using arnica a couple of times a day along with wearing a compression garment, is very helpful for minimizing bruising. 
• If you have experienced facial herpes, the risk of getting cold sores post injections is higher. 
• Avoid washing the treatment site for up to 8 hours after the treatment. 
• Do not expose the treated skin to swimming, sauna, direct sunlight, or tanning beds. Wear SPF if you have to go out. 
• Do not indulge in exercising for at least 48 hours after the treatment as it can reduce the efficacy of the treatment.
• It is recommended to eat extra fiber and avoid processed carbs for up to 72 hours after the treatment. This isn’t mandatory but will also optimize the results.
• Stay clear of alcohol as it facilitates the ability of the liver to handle fat. 
• It is important to keep your body hydrated. Make sure to drink a minimum of 3 liters of water a day for the next several weeks. 
• Post the treatment, you many see results as soon as 48 our but iit will take you at least three weeks to start results and full results can be seen in 2 months. 

• Allergy to Soybeans, Phosphatidylcholine or Deoxycholic acid. 
• Any open skin wounds including broken skin, scabs, wounds, bleeding skin and blisters should be avoided.
• Rashes, psoriasis, eczema, pustular or nodular rosacea and fungal infections should all be avoided.
• Contagious skin problems should be avoided.
• Raised moles, warts or moles that have changed form or color and
  unexplained skin growths should be avoided.
• Keloid scars are a stringent contraindication.
• Diabetes type 1 & 2 - per treatment area
• Any drugs that promote photosensitivity as this might lead to Post
  Inflammatory Pigmentation (PIP).
• History of Autoimmune disease
• Cosmetic treatments such as micro-dermabrasion, IPL, chemical peels or
  cosmetic surgery until all evidence of inflammation is gone.
• Pregnancy is a contraindication. It is suggested to defer fat dissolve
  treatments till 6 months after the birth or 6 months post breast feeding to
  enable the client’s hormones to balance. 
• Hemophiliacs are a stringent contraindication
• Recent usage of Ibuprofen, Nurofen or equivalent.
• Liver or kidney disease.
• Age under 21
• Managed on antibiotics or recent infections - treat 7 days post antibiotics/and infection is cleared.
